Rita T. Zautis, 78, a longtime resident of the Clearing neighborhood of Chicago, died Friday in the Abbington Rehabilitation and Nursing Cetnter in Roselle. Mrs. Zautis owned the Zautis grocery on West 63rd Street for many years. She was a member of St. Symphorosa Altar and Rosary Society and a past president of the American Legion’s Clearing post. She is survived by her husband, John; a son, Jack; a daughter, Mary Ann Lux; a sister, Mary Mahon; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Central Funeral Chapel, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago. Services will be at 8:45 a.m. Monday in the chapel, followed by a mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Symphorosa Church, 62nd Street and Austin Ave.
