Frank Paris, 86, who founded a successful food-brokerage business during the height of the Depression, died Tuesday in his River Forest home. Mr. Paris was born in Luco Dei Marsi, Italy, moved to Chicago in 1920, and went to high school at St. Viator Academy. “He graduated in 1928, and he liked it so much he went back to get married,” said his son, Frank M. Paris, village president of River Forest. Mr. Paris founded Salad Oils International in 1936 and oversaw operations at the West Side Chicago business until he retired several weeks ago, his son said. Other survivors include Mr. Paris’ wife, Rosalie; a daughter, Jeannine Schutz; two brothers, Tony and George; two sisters, Mary DeSylvester and Ellen Wiley; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
