And they are wrong. It’s known he’s schmoozed for long hours with Michael Milken, a top adviser to Rupert Murdoch. But I’m sure that the two Fox executives, Peter Chernin and Chase Carey, who manipulate the puppet strings attached to the so-called Dodgers president, Bob Graziano, would have coolly ignored Lasorda’s alleged remonstrances and not made such a stunning decision had the team not fallen haplessly on its cleats.
