RaeLynne Toperoff of the Teachers’ Task Force thinks holding back students is the wrong approach (Voice, June 1). She suggests there might not be enough teachers, a lack of support personnel and resources, or adequate technology available to the teachers and students.
It’s possible some of the above can be improved upon, but have we entirely disregarded the parents’ role of responsibility and guidance?
