William L. Pierce, 77, of Woodstock died Sunday in his home. He retired from the Union Special Corp. in Huntley in 1980 with 32 years of service. He also served in the Army Air Forces during World War II, stationed in the China-Burma Theater. He is survived by his wife, Ruby; two brothers, Ted and Lyle; and three sisters, Virginia Schacht, Lucille Stanger and Bernice Busse. Services will be private.
