I just wanted to thank you for the paper’s well-reasoned and tough stance on the case of Mohammad Salah. It is rare to see a paper in this city standing up against the government, particularly where Arabs are concerned (our country’s favorite whipping posts). Your editorial sounded the necessary themes of civil rights for all when it is becoming too easy to simply say “civil rights for those who don’t look like terrorists.”
