The Chicago Wolves brought home the Turner Cup June 15, but did the news media give them the recognition they deserved? They received about 30 seconds at the end of the sportscasts.
It was a come-from-behind series with excellent end-to-end action, but what does the media give most of the coverage to–a pregame fight. There are thousands of children involved in youth hockey who would love to be able to read about their idols in the sports section or hear about them on the news.
Let’s give the Wolves the respect they deserve. They are true champions.
