Lander “Larry” Phelps, 81, of Elmhurst died Saturday in Elmhurst Extended Care Center. Born in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., Mr. Phelps was a resident of Elmhurst for 43 years. He had been employed as an assembler for Xerox and was a veteran. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons, Kevin and Wayne; a daughter, Karen Flaherty; a brother; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York Rd., Elmhurst.
