Ever since the motorcycle blight arrived on Lake Shore Drive about five years ago, the police have looked the other way. Motorcycles run all night at 80-90 miles per hour. Now that there has been a fatal accident (on June 20) involving two motorcycles, I hope that the police begin to enforce speed limits for all vehicles, two-wheeled as well as four. Zero tolerance for lawbreakers is working in other cities. It is worth trying here.
