In a “Letter from New York” (Main news, June 23), Stevenson Swanson commented on the Algonquin Hotel’s legendary Round Table saying, “For all anyone knows, it may have been a dodecahedron.” Well, I am someone who knows that it was not!

A dodecahedron is a segmented solid similar in shape to a sphere but with 12 flat faces. The shape of a 12-sided table is, instead, called a dodecagon.
