James A. Corrado, 84, of Chicago Heights, a retired machinist at the West Pullman Works of International Harvester Co., died Saturday in St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights after a short illness. Mr. Corrado worked for 38 years for International Harvester, before he retired in 1972. He began caddying in Olympia Fields during the Depression and later developed a passion for golf. Mr. Corrado also loved gardening and earned a reputation among friends and family for growing outstanding tomatoes and peppers. He is survived by his wife, Adeline Marie; a son, James; a sister, Ann Bettinardi; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St., Chicago Heights. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1515 Chicago Rd., Chicago Heights.
