Angeline Makris, 83, a longtime resident of Chicago Heights and Champaign died Sunday in a North Hampton, Mass., hospital. Mrs. Makris was born in Chicago Heights but raised in Milwaukee, where she lived until she married and returned to Chicago Heights. After Mrs. Makris moved to Champaign, she served for 15 years as a volunteer at the Carle Foundation Hospital. An active member of the Philoptohos Society, Mrs. Makris taught Greek cooking in her home. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Nicholas; a son, William, a daughter, Dimetra; and a sister Harriet Galanis. Services will be Thursday in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Holyoke, Mass.
