Frederick F. Yoder, 62, a longtime editor of the Magazine of Sigma Chi, died in his home Monday of cancer. Mr. Yoder moved to Evanston in 1957 as assistant editor of publications for Sigma Chi. He became editor of the fraternity’s magazine in 1973. He also volunteered for many of Sigma Chi’s charities, serving as director of community service from 1992 to 1998. He was awarded the Significant Sig award this summer. Mr. Yoder is survived by his mother, Mary; and a brother, Bruce. General services will be held at 2 p.m. July 25 in Sigma Chi’s Peterson International Headquarters, 1714 Hinman Ave., Evanston.
