John Brittingham, 90, president and founder of a building products company, died Tuesday of liver and lung cancer. Mr. Brittingham helped develop the aluminum soffit system of roofing as president of Rollex Corp. His wife, Dixie, said he considered business one of the most entertaining games possible. Mr. Brittingham also served on a destroyer escort in the Navy during World War II, when he was stationed in Bermuda. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jeanne and Bonnie; a son, James; and five grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Christ Episcopal Church on the Hill, 784 Sheridan Rd., Winnetka.
