Police said a 21-year-old man and 22-year-old woman escaped injury early Tuesday when shots were fired at the car in which they were riding on the 400 block of North Kendall Street. The man told police he was arguing with a 20-year-old man and drove away to avoid an altercation when he heard a bang and realized his rear window had shattered. Further shots were fired, and two of them also hit the car, he told police.
