Rosa D. Paul, 78, of DeKalb, formerly of St. Charles, died Sunday in DeKalb County Nursing Home in DeKalb. Mrs. Paul came to St. Charles in 1946. In the mid-1950s she worked as a photojournalist and was a news editor for the St. Charles Chronicle. Later Mrs. Paul became editor of the Batavia Herald. She also served on the Kane County Planning Committee and various other committees in St. Charles. In 1982, Mrs. Paul retired from Belden Wire and Cable. She moved to DeKalb in 1991. Among her special interests, Mrs. Paul was a life member of American Legion Post 342 of St. Charles where she formerly held the positions of president of the Kane County Auxiliary and district secretary. Survivors include three sons, John Bradshaw, Colin Bradshaw and Charles Paul; a daughter, Judy Struck; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-greatgrandson. Services were held Wednesday.
