The Lake Barrington Village Board has given unanimous approval to the final plat of subdivision for Flint Creek Farms Unit 3, a 44-lot subdivision across from Village Hall.

The 92-acre tract, bounded by Old Barrington and Miller Roads and surrounded by Lake County Forest Preserve District land, will have lots averaging 60,000 to 70,000 square feet. The smallest lot will be 42,000 square feet, and the largest will have 116,000 square feet.

Al Goodman, director for operations for Century Development Group of Wood Dale, said at Monday night’s Village Board meeting that the company plans to start construction in late September or early October.

The development will be divided into two phases of 22 homes each.

Homes are slated to have four to five bedrooms and at least 3,300 square feet. Prices start at $700,000.

The project was held up over soil erosion issues, but village officials and the developer agreed the lots would have enough soil to maintain septic fields.
