Jane L. Everitt, 76, a homemaker and longtime resident of Elmhurst, died Friday in her Batavia home. Born and raised in Chicago, Mrs. Everitt moved to Elmhurst with her husband and family in 1956. In her 36 years in the western suburb, Mrs. Everitt raised three children and tended to her back-yard flower garden. Tables in her home were always graced with floral bouquets, and she always made time for her pets, said her son-in-law, Tom McGough. Mrs. Everitt is survived by two daughters, Nancy Ross and Susan McGough; a son, John; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
