U.S. corn crop conditions improved last week and soybean conditions gained for the first time in a month as warmer temperatures dried fields drenched by earlier storms, improving the harvest potential for the Midwest’s most important commodities. An estimated 68 percent of the corn crop was in good to excellent condition as of Friday, while 61 percent of the soybean crop held that rating, according to the Agriculture Department.
