Jack Walsh, 58, of McHenry, died Monday in Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry. He operated a concession stand and bait shop at the McHenry Dam State Park after retiring from an insurance company he ran with his father. “He was good with people, speaking to them and making conversation,” said Dawn Freund, a family friend who works at the bait shop. Survivors include a son, Brendan Walsh; a daughter, Aleen Walsh; his mother, Alvina; a sister, Patricia Walsh and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday in Peter M. Justen Colonial Funeral Home, 3807 W. Elm St., McHenry.
