Aramis Ramirez of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Javier Vazquez of the Montreal Expos have been suspended for five games each and fined an undisclosed amount.
Ramirez, who was hit in the back by a pitch from Vazquez in a game Friday, was suspended for charging the mound, throwing his helmet toward Vazquez and instigating a bench-clearing incident. Both players have the right to appeal.
