George Veals, 69, of Villa Park, died Wednesday in Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. Born in Knoxville, Tenn., Mr. Veals worked in a warehouse of a manufacturing company. He also was a member of the National Guard and served in the Korean War. He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Dodson; his mother; two brothers, Sam and Hubert; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Services will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
