James C. Bullis, 55, a longtime Libertyville resident whose manufacturing career included positions at Morton International Inc., Abbott Laboratories and Bausch & Lomb, died of cancer Thursday in his home. Most recently, Mr. Bullis served as director of logistics at American President Lines Ltd.. Mr. Bullis, his wife and four children moved to the Libertyville-Mundelein area nearly 30 years ago. Born in Chicago, Mr. Bullis attended the University of Iowa, where he played football, and the University of Chicago, where he received a master’s degree in business administration. Mr. Bullis is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Michael; three daughters, Katherine Downing, Karen and Susan; his parents, James and Mae June; three brothers, Jack, Bob and Bill; and two sisters, Patti Janasak and Peg Page. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville.
