George M. Fox, 72, of Schaumburg, a retired retail sales manager, died Saturday in Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Mr. Fox was born in Brownsville, Pa. An Army veteran, Mr. Fox served in Europe in World War II. He was the volunteer director of the Schaumburg Park District Senior Glee Club. “A year ago last April, when I wanted to start the Glee Club, we needed everything–singers, instruments, music,” said Susan Jackson, director of senior recreation for the Park District. “He came forward, took over and brought the glee club up to 50 members, all volunteers.” Survivors include his wife, Wanda; a son, Eric; a daughter, Anita Dall; and four grandchildren. Services were held Monday.
