I was bemused by Paul Galloway’s article “Truth or dare” (Tempo, July 28) dealing with the supposed infallibility of the pope. Although I am not a Catholic, I must side with the pope–not because he is infallible (he is not) but because his position against the ordination of women to the priesthood is biblical.
Jesus choose 12 apostles, all of whom were men, even though he had many women who were his followers and supporters.
