Frank E. Thompson, 78, of Cary, formerly of Aurora, died Tuesday in his home. He was a resident of the Aurora area for 37 years and moved to Cary in 1978. He was a self-employed home builder for about 30 years before going to work with his sons in the recreational vehicle business in Crystal Lake. Survivors include his wife, Betty; two daughters, Debby Becker and K.C. Olson; four sons, Randy, Rex, Ron and Rick; two sisters, Bette Proctor and Marge McCabe; and 13 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Windridge Funeral Home Ltd., 104 High Rd., Cary. Services will be private.
