The July 30 commentary on the tragedy of “Baby Joe” does next to nothing to address what is so wrong with our courts and justice system.

Now we have the reason this helpless and hapless little boy is entrapped in a life of turmoil and worse. The court issued a “proper, or at least defensible, decision.” Does the use of the words “at least defensible” mean that the decision was less than proper but was at least “defensible”? If that is what judges do, then I for one find that not only deplorable but totally “indefensible.”
