Robert G. Crawford, 70, retired in 1991 as manager of manufacturing services responsible for the purchasing department at Pyramid Northern Mouldings Inc. in Chicago, after 45 years of service. Mr. Crawford, a Chicago native and 32-year resident of Arlington Heights, died Tuesday in his home. He served in the Navy from 1948 to 1953. “Bob was probably the most upbeat and positive person I’ve ever met,” said John Probst, former general manager at Pyramid. “He had a great influence on the people at Pyramid.” Added Richard Hopp, plant manager at Pyramid: “If he told you something was true, you knew it was.” Crawford is survived by his wife, Terry; three sons, Steven, Robert and William; two daughters, Laura Brown and Linda Churchill; and 11 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to the time of mass at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Cecilia Church, 700 S. Meier Rd., Mt. Prospect.
