Hi. I read your article in the Arts section of the Tribune (“On the phone with the Backstreet Boys,” July 26). I firmly disagree with you saying “sure, these youthful Florida and Kentucky harmonizers purvey a fairly unchallenging brand of bubble-gum R&B pop, but nobody said they were out to break new musical ground.”
They already have broken new musical ground. . . . They’ve been compared to the Beatles!
They’re 5 HOT guys, with tons of talent and great personalities. I just don’t think you know enough about them or their music to judge them like that.
