John Hamer, 91, of Naperville, who owned and operated a construction and home-development company, died Friday in Edward Hospital in Naperville. Mr. Hamer owned and operated a Mercury car dealership in Berwyn for 28 years before starting his company, Hamer Enterprises. He ran it for more than 40 years, building homes throughout DuPage County. Mr. Hamer is survived by his wife, Helen; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Services will at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
