Police are investigating a death threat against Keiko, the killer whale, star of the “Free Willy” movies, due to move in October from an Oregon aquarium to his native waters inside a floating pen in a secluded bay.
Police say an anonymous letter sent from a northern Icelandic town threatened to poison the water in Keiko’s pen.
Reports speculate the threat grew from a rivalry between two coastal towns to house the orca to attract paying fans.
