Albert L. Hodous, 70, of Downers Grove died Saturday in Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. Born in Hinsdale, Mr. Hodous was a retired dean of students at Lyons Township High School in La Grange, where he also taught physics and was a counselor. Mr. Hodous also built two of his family’s homes, developed and operated a lawn-spraying service as well as the Cascade Mountain Campground. In addition, he served in the Army. Survivors include his wife, Eve; four sons, Robert, William, Bert and Brian; a daughter, Patricia; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th St., Downers Grove. Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, followed by a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of Gostyn Catholic Church, 444 Wilson St., Downers Grove.
