In the Page 1 article “Parents seeking defense against switched babies” (Aug. 7), the author wrote that the “ultimate security system” is one that always keeps the newborn within the parent’s sight. Yet, the acting director for the hospital joint commission acknowledged that, “If somebody decides they want to overcome a system, they can probably figure out how to do it.”

I have the cure for this serious security problem: Home birth.
