Dempsey A. “Jack” Hooker, 74, of Lombard died Tuesday in Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Born in Logan, Ill., Mr. Hooker retired as director of out-station maintenance at Braniff Airlines. He also served in the Marines in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two sons, Kenneth and Mark; a sister, Dorothy Burgess; a brother, Cecil; and three grandchildren. A memorial mass will be said at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 1501 S. Main St., Lombard.
