Robert D. MacDonald, 77, a longtime resident of Palatine, died Monday in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. Mr. MacDonald, a native of Chicago, was a pharmacist for 40 years. Mr. MacDonald was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include a son, William; and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.
