Florence J. Hansen, 91, a lifelong resident of Des Plaines, died Monday in Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines. Miss Hansen attended the old North School in Des Plaines and graduated from Maine Township High School. She worked as a federal secretary handling prohibition cases in Chicago during the 1920s, where she met Al Capone, according to her sister, Irene Angell. After Prohibition ended, she worked for Social Security. In addition to her sister, she is survived by several nephews. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday in G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland St., Des Plaines. A service will follow at the funeral home.
