It is my opinion that Kenneth Starr and the president are equally disgusting, and both should resign in disgrace.
If I were the president, I would resign and spend my entire time fighting all the charges and accusations of the so-called independent counsel and the Republicans. Al Gore would then become president, and this would substantially increase his chances of being elected. Thus, the Democrats would be in a better position of keeping control of the White House.
Starr would most likely be out of a job if President Clinton resigned. But I am sure that the Republicans will attempt to have him investigate and plague President Gore.
