Mary Horyn, 87, of McHenry, formerly of Woodstock, died Thursday in Valley Hi Nursing Home in Hartland Township. She was a private-duty nurse at White Hall Nursing Home in Chicago for many years. Survivors include two daughters, Eleanor Pratt and Marlene Arvidson; two sons, Bob and Bill; a half-sister, Bertha Friend; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday in George R. Justen and Son Funeral Home, 3519 Elm St., McHenry. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Zion Lutheran Church, 4206 W. Elm St., McHenry.
