One decorated display model has opened for viewing at Wallin Woods in southwest suburban Plainfield, a Macom Corp. community planned for 218 homes.

The two-story model, designed by Homes by Fessler, is 2,797 square feet with four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a first-floor den. It is priced at $209,000 excluding lot. The average lot price is $48,600.

The model also features a two-story foyer, formal living and dining rooms, study, and kitchen with center island and pantry.

– Empeco Inc. has three semi-custom spec homes available for immediate delivery at Ivanhoe Estates, a 383-acre community of 113 homes intermingling with the Ivanhoe Club golf course in far north suburban Ivanhoe.

Homes range from 3,646 to 3,850 square feet and are priced from $579,000 to $719,900.

One of the available homes is the 3,800-square-foot Spencer model. The two-story stone- and cedar-clad home is priced at $719,900, including wall coverings and window treatments.

It features a first-floor master bedroom suite with two walk-in closets and bath with marble floor and whirlpool tub, a library, and a two-story family room with vaulted ceiling and fireplace.

– Saddlewood, a James Cos. community slated for 81 semi-custom homes in northwest suburban Wauconda, has two display models for sale. Both feature finished walkout basements, central air conditioning, and landscaped lots.

Priced at $410,553, the one-story Victoria includes two bedrooms, with a third one in the basement.

The second model is the two-story Somerset, priced at $425,031. It features three bedrooms, a sun room and bonus room with built-in desk and wet bar.

Saddlewood also has a spec-built Nottingham design available for immediate delivery. The 2,548-square-foot home is priced at $314,900 and includes three bedrooms with a loft or fourth bedroom, 2 1/2 baths and den.

The community offers nine floor plans ranging from 1,938 to 3,185 square feet and priced from $248,000, including lot.

– Three models are open for viewing at Ashland Place, a six-story building with 43 condominiums being developed by Norwood Builders in northwest suburban Des Plaines.

Prices range from $141,900 to $143,900 for one-bedroom, one-bath plans; from $156,800 to $161,900 for two-bedroom, one-bath designs; from $169,900 to $220,900 for two-bedroom, two-bath units; and from $231,900 to $242,500 for three-bedroom, two-bath condos.

Nine floor plans range from 1,024 to 1,909 square feet and include balconies and heated indoor parking.

One of the new models is the 1,352-square-foot Kensington with two bedrooms, two baths, living and dining rooms, master bedroom with walk-in closet and bath, and laundry room. It is priced from $172,900.

The monthly assessment fee covers heat, dryer and cooking gas, parking, landscaping and maintenance, snow removal, common area utilities and building insurance.
