Esther M. Doyle, 93, a retired schoolteacher, died Aug. 17 in Prairie Manor Health Care Center in Chicago Heights. Mrs. Doyle grew up in Polo, Ill. before moving to Chicago Heights in 1925. She taught 4th grade and special education in the Chicago Heights school district. “She was a very versatile person,” said her brother, Henry. “But the biggest thing was she cared a lot about people.” Survivors, in addition to Henry, include a niece and a nephew. A memorial mass will be said at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mary Church, 211 N. Franklin St., Polo.
