Barbara Buskirk Schneider, 65, a longtime volunteer for neighborhood agencies serving neglected children and elderly residents, died Sunday in her Barrington home. Mrs. Schneider volunteered for Arden Shore Child and Family Services, which serves abused and neglected children, and Fish, a neighborhood group that provides the elderly free transportation to doctor’s appointments and other essential services. Survivors include her husband, Norbert; four daughters, Lisa Steeb, Sandy Ruhlin, Susan Getz and Kathy; a son, Eric; two sisters, Martha Hellman and Virginia Duley; and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Stirlen-Pieper and Davenport Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St., Barrington. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Anne’s Church, 120 N. Ela St., Barrington.
