Candidates are invited to come forward as the Lombard Village Board moves toward finding a replacement for the recently deceased Trustee Frank Gatz Sr.
Board President William Mueller said he is accepting applications for Gatz’s District 5 seat and hopes to name a replacement next month. Gatz, a trustee since 1991, died in June of liver cancer.
Mueller will nominate a replacement, who must be approved by a majority of the Village Board. Whoever is named to replace Gatz will fill out the remaining nine months in Gatz’s term.
