John T. Kus, 78, a 45-year resident of Downers Grove, died Tuesday in Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. Born in Janesville, Wis., Mr. Kus served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a pipefitter. Survivors include two sons, Thomas and Lawrence; a daughter, Nancy Zachar; a brother, Edward; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Toon Funeral Home, 4920 Main St., Downers Grove. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
