Kenneth S. Watson Sr., 86, a chemical engineer who specialized in air and water pollution and industrial waste, died Tuesday at the James King Home in Evanston. Born in Dilliner, Pa., Mr. Watson had most recently lived in Glenview and then in Evanston. He retired in 1979 from Kraft Inc., where he had worked as director of environmental control. He previously worked for General Electric Co. as the manager of the water management laboratory. He also worked for public agencies, including the West Virginia Water Commission and the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission. He served as president of the Water Pollution Control Federation. Survivors include his son, Kenneth; two brothers, Bruce and Lester; and two sisters, Betty Burton and Marge Kridle. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Village Presbyterian Church, 1300 Shermer Rd., Northbrook.
