To intimate that a Sammy Sosa blast came against a “grooved” pitch, as Phil Rogers did, shows a complete lack of knowledge about the game of baseball. Jose Lima’s pitch was hardly grooved. It was rather a high, hard one with movement. Sammy hit a tough pitch that most hitters would have fanned on completely.

Instead of trying to spin a non-story and create some controversy, do your job and find some real newsworthy stories.
