The authors of the article “Interracial marriages increase” (Page 1, Sept. 8) give data about interracial marriages in the United States, but the data are incomplete.

Rather than report on all possible combinations of interracial marriages, they only report white and Hispanic, white and Asian, white and American Indian, white and African-American.

Why is white the standard? Why not give data on other marriages, Hispanic and Asian or American Indian and African-American?
