John F. Smejkal, 81, of Wheaton died Sunday in Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield. Born in Chicago, Mr. Smejkal was a clerk in the shipping industry. He also served in the Army in World War II. Survivors include a grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Cypress Funeral Home, 1698 N. Bloomingdale Rd., Glendale Heights.
