Regarding Robert Samuelson’s Nov. 6 column: People who work for a living get tired and look forward to retirement. I wonder if Mr. Samuelson could live on $12,000 per year. How much does he make? He pushes a pencil; he should try a shovel. Retired people paid their dues and should live their retired years in peace. Retired people do not have children in school, but gladly pay taxes for education. Mr. Samuelson should mind his own business.
