Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Last week I read that several major-league teams are again raising ticket prices, with others likely to follow suit, citing the need to sign free-agent players to stay competitive. A few days later I read that the Boston Red Sox signed Jose Offerman to a four-year, $26 million contract, and the Detroit Tigers signed Dean Palmer for $36 million over five years.
If this is what is meant by staying competitive, I think I’ll stay home.
