I am pleased to respond to Morris Pollard’s recent letter (Voice, Nov. 16), which attempts to shift blame for his son’s traitorous acts against his country to others:

1. I have visited the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor.

2. I have visited the American cemetery near Normandy, France.

3. I have visited the American cemetery near Cambridge, England.

4. I look with awe and admiration upon my neighbor who survived the Bataan death march and four years of torture in a prison camp.

Pollard’s son, Jonathan Pollard, betrayed his country when he became a spy. He should pay the ultimate price with his life. Otherwise our real heroes can never rest in peace.
